I'm Still Here

Yes, I know it's been forever since I last posted... I've been a little busy here and there and then I also ran out of storage so I had to take down some stuff... anyhow, I'm back and I'm hoping to post a little more regularly from now on (I know, famous last words, right?).

:)

So first thing first, look what I got in the mail the other day!!!

How cool is that?! Obviously adresses have been blurred for privacy, and I have no clue whose bright idea it was to doodle on top of the drawing (ahem, Canada post) but it is awesome anyway!
You see, I'm reading Doug's blog and recently he had this cool thing going on where you could e-mail him your address and he'd send you a post card if he still had some left... And guess what, I got one! (Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited? :))

And it's also through his blog that I became aware of this awesome one. And I decided to participate in the challenge, so since I really liked this little guy:

I decided to work on it, so this is my take on Elijah's monster:

You really should check out the archives, these kids are crazy talented! And very inspirational!

So I'll be back at some point soon to update more of my work and all that... :)

Here's my dog statue all painted on a base with props:

And here's another school project - a diorama that is meant to encourage people to visit the ROM:
And yet again another school project - an illustration for a children book - princess and the pea (so far I only have 3 pages in colour but I intend to do more):

And my last project for this semester, done for editorial class - "Apple" (as in the company, not the fruit) - overpriced, it was meant to be done as a "Newsweek" cover:

And a few characters and backgrounds for another class - we're working on concept art for Peter Pan:
Tiger Lilly:
 Wendy:
 More Tiger Lilly:

And the Native island, we (it's a group project) ended up going with a different idea for the island and for the characters, but these were lots of fun to work on:

And an earlier project for the same class - we had to do a cover inspired by the Dresden Doll's "Coin Operated Boy" song and this is my take on it - designed for a children book:
